
Showtime ends Californication.
The dark comedy starring David Duchovny novelist Hank Moody ends after the upcoming seventh season, the network announced Monday. The half-hour series will return for its final 12 episodes in April 2014.
Showtime said that other episodes "carefully boucleront' the lives of the characters in the series, created by Tom Kapinos, including Karen (Natascha McElhone), Becca (Madeleine Martin), Charlie (Evan Handler) and Marcy (Pamela Adlon).

"Thanks to his unique blend of lyricism and excesses, Californication has been one of our revolutionary signature series," said David Nevins, the Showtime President of entertainment, in the announcement. "We still owe to Tom Kapinos for creative leader charge on this memorable comedy and David Duchovny to make us root for a hedonist without complex as Hank Moody." Tom has carefully planned the final chapter of the voyage of Hank and led to a beautiful and satisfactory conclusion for fans of new and long-standing. »
During its run, Californication - long series of Showtime - won several key, including a Golden Globe for Duchovny and two Emmys. The series also saw its audience grow as the season that six marked his season Recommendations with 2.9 million viewers on various platforms.

The final season will follow Hank to join the writers room ' of a new TV series based on his unreleased film, Cop in Santa Monica, where he is often annoyed by his boss, the Executive producer of old school Rick Rath (Michael Imperioli). Mary Lynn Rajskub will play a writer on the team, Goldie, alongside Alonzo Bodden as Alonzo. But the arrival of old friend Julia (Heather Graham) could complicate the life of Hank with Karen.Rob Lowe, Brandon T. Jackson, Oliver Cooper and Mercedes Masöhn also guest-star.
Californication has been one of the comedies of remnants of the guy who developed under David Nevins'predecessor, Robert Greenblatt. Hot Showtime make a spin-off starring Maggie Gracegroupie religious faith briefly, but nixed the idea in January. The decision to end the story of Hank Moody comes after a year where Showtime also concluded comedy-turned-miniseries The Big C as well as dramas Dexter and The Borgias.
On the development plan, the network is Prime Philip Seymour Hoffman pilot a down trend and the return of the episodes, House of Lies, Nurse Jackie and Shameless on tap for next year.
